Lunch: Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 15:00

Lounge and terrace: Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 16:00

Dinner: Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 18:00

Hotel: Open every day

A lunch or dinner in our restaurant is always by reservation only.

The hotel is open 7 days a week.
The restaurant, including the lounge and terrace, is closed on Mondays. Please note that if you stay at our hotel on a Monday, you will not be able to have lunch, drinks, and/or dinner at De Havixhorst.

De Havixhorst can also be reserved in its entirety. Therefore, we may not always be open to other guests on the above-mentioned days. If you want to ensure that we can accommodate you, please contact us in advance.

Coming from the A28, Meppel towards Hoogeveen - Take the De Wijk exit. At the roundabout, take the second exit turning left, towards De Wijk. After approximately 1km take the first right on to the Schiphorsterweg. After approximately 2km you will reach De Havixhorst, which is located on the left hand side.

Coming from the A28, Hoogeveen towards Meppel - Take the De Wijk exit. At the roundabout, take the third exit turning left, towards De Wijk. At the next roundabout, take the first exit, continuing on the same road. After approximately 1km take the first right on to the Schiphorsterweg. After approximately 2km you will reach De Havixhorst, which is located on the left hand side.

Public Transport

Despite being located in the Reestdal countryside, we are within 7km of Meppel train station and easily accessible by public transport. From Meppel train station, you’ll need to take the number 592 bus towards IJhorst. This small-sized bus departs every hour and stops right at our door step. Parking

Our estate includes plenty of parking options. Do you have a lot of luggage with you? Then feel free to drive through the main gate on to our courtyard. We will happily assist you with unloading your car and taking any luggage to your room.
